Ogun State is a southwestern state and one of the 36 states in Nigeria. There are 20 Local Government Areas (LGA). The state was formed from former Western State on 3rd of February 1976.
The Capital of Ogun State is Abeokuta which is also the most populous city in the state. Ogun state is nicknamed “Gateway State”
