How does MTN Xtra Value work
MTN Xtravalue is not like the other tariff plans you are used to, it works in such a way that customers will need to subscribe if they want to enjoy all that this tariff plan offers.
There are basically two types of MTN Xtra Value, they are called MTN Xtra Talk and MTN Xtra Data. By their names, one could easily discern that one actually gives you more airtime than data while the other is comfortable with dishing out more data than airtime.

However, after the purchase of any Xtra Value bundle, Prepaid Customers will be migrated to XtraValue plan to enjoy the bundle while Postpaid Customers will enjoy the bundle from their respective tariff plan.

Charges on MTN xtra value tariff plan
Prepaid and postpaid customers on MTN xtra value tariff plan would be charged 45k per second when they make National voice calls, that is about N27/minute.
Calls made across International destination is billed 90k/second. When we analyse it, we have one minute of international calls being charged at N54.
Local SMS is charged at N4/SMS and international voice calls and SMS will be charged at their applicable standard rates.

- Customers can migrate by Sending keyword of preferred Xtra Value plan to 131.
- Another way to migrate is by dialing *312*2# and select any of your prefered MTN Xtra Value bundle.
- You can also download myMTN App. From the app, select your preferred bundle plan.
- Customers can also use MTN Nigeria official site (http://mymtn.com.ng) to activate Xtra Data Plans.
- Once a customer subscribed to any of the Xtra value bundle, migration to mtn xtra value will take place and MTN xtra value account will be credited.
How to cancel auto-renewal on MTN Xtra Value
There may come a time when you feel it is time to move on from MTN Xtra Value or cancel the auto-renewal on MTN Xtra Value. As a prepaid customer, this can be done by leaving XtraValue for other MTN tariff plans – MTN Pulse, MTN betatalk, MTN TruTalk, MTN xtraspecial, and MTN mpulse.
if you are a postpaid customer, you will have to send No+Bundle code to 312, NoD300 to 312. Once done, you will be instantly be removed from MTN XtraValue.
